Matthew L. Goldberg is a partner of the law firm Hankin & Mazel, PLLC. Mr. Goldberg earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S. 2003) degree in Business with a dual concentration in Marketing and Finance from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He received his Juris Doctor (J.D. 2010) from New York Law School. Mr. Goldberg is admitted to practice law in the State of New York, the State of New Jersey, and before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, as well as the United States Court of Appeals, Second Circuit.
Mr. Goldberg has extensive experience in all aspects of real estate law. He represents cooperative and condominium boards on a wide range of issues as general counsel. His practice also includes a focus on residential transactions, commercial transactions, residential litigation, commercial litigation, commercial leasing, and corporate formation. Mr. Goldberg assists numerous international clients in the purchase and sale of real estate in New York. In addition, he heads the firm's Tax Certiorari division and Banking division, representing numerous lenders in connection with residential and commercial mortgages, refinances, and CEMA transactions. Mr. Goldberg also represents developers in the acquisition of property, construction, and the creation and filing of offering plans with the Attorney General's Office of the State of New York.
Mr. Goldberg is a member of the following bar associations and committees: the New York State Bar Association; the NYS Committee on Co-Ops and Condos; the Queens County Bar Association; the Queens County Co-op/Condo Committee; the Bar Association of the City of New York; and the Real Estate Tax Review Bar Association.
